Alma Shirt Jacket in Handwoven Orange Khadi Cloth
We've been completely knocked out by this new brand, Harago, out of India. Their pieces are a mix of collection pieces and beautiful one-offs. This is the latter.
This piece is a 100% cotton khadi cloth - incredibly textured with a tweed-like appearance - fashioned into a versatile shirt jacket from a tapestry from the 1970s. The cotton was hand woven on a vintage loom from red, orange, and white yarns for a great melange effect. The fabric is heavy and thick, but loosely woven for a great drape with awesome breathability Slightly boxy fit - cut like a typical camp shirt with a spread collar, straight hem, and a boxy fit. The piece fits like a boxy medium with a shorter length and a fuller arm. Two patch pockets, one chest.
- Cut and sewn in India
- Vintage handspun/handwoven khadi cotton
