Antique Applique Shirt Jacket
We've been completely knocked out by this new brand, Harago, out of India. Their pieces are a mix of collection pieces and beautiful one-offs. This is the latter.
Let's start with the obvious - this fabric is absolutely bonkers. These are repurposed from a vintage quilt from the 1980s and are done in a go-to-hell but wearable color scheme of yellow, orange and navy with yellow kantha stitching throughout the piece. Appliques at the hem pockets and on the back of the garment. Spread collar with 5-button, chore coat-style closure and bigass mother of pearl buttons. One of one. This piece fits like a conventional medium.
